As luck would have it, I was able to travel up the gorge to Hood River where, among other things, I taught a class on photography. I stayed at the Hood River Inn and was able to check out the town and some cool places to shoot some artistic images for our upcoming wedding this summer.
One thing that always draws my eye to it is bridges lit up at night during sunset. The Hood River Bridge is one of those. A greenish, rustic bridge that seems to shuttle quite a bit of traffic across it at all hours of the day. Stepping out my back door one evening I noticed the nice ambient lights in the sky and reflection off the water so I decided to capture this image. The cars didn’t want to cooperate, so I had to shoot it at an extremely slow shutter speed to help blur out all the cars crossing it. Thank goodness I had my tripod!
