When I first saw this Canon camera lens mug advertised by Photojojo I told myself a couple things.  One it would be cool just to have, two I could really play a funny prank on my lovely wife.  With those goals in mind, I ordered it up and paid the $24.00.

After receiving it in the mail today (after waiting for it to come off of backorder) I was impressed with the detail it had compared to my real Canon 24-105mm lens.  Now onto phase two of my plan.  I sat the “lens” on the counter where I normally sit equipment and waiting until she was at the sink rising something off…that didn’t take long.

As she was rising out a thermos of my son’s, she was commenting on the smell coming out of it.  I made my move.  With the slight of hand I grabbed the lens, made my way over to her and said, “Let me smell.”  I leaned over and “bam” let the “lens” fall in the sink directly under the water!  I jumped back and yelled…she jumped…hit the water off, looked at me with her mouth open wide in horror (as I was making the same look) and she stopped breathing.  I just couldn’t hold the laughter in anymore so I grabbed it out of the sink, took off the lid, and started laughing hysterically telling her it was a coffee cup.  She looked at it again, and the chase was on.  Let’s just say my shoulder is a little sore…:)

I invite everyone to play along!
