You know I’ve always loved the saying, “Go big or go home” and that’s what I love about having clients come over to your house to show them their albums.  Now, we make custom albums when Seniors and their parents want that custom made gift to pass around to family and friends, take to work, take into the bathroom, lay on the coffee table, put on a shelf with a light on it, etc. Well, after completing Emilie and Annie’s Senior Albums (and another with both of them in it), we decided to have a party so they would know exactly how special they are too us.

Since they have Mexican heritage in them, I made home made Tamales from scratch, huge other side fixings, opened our dance floor up, served any kind of drink you could think of, and last but not least…brought in a Mariachi Band!  That way, when the portraits were brought out, the Albums were unveiled and being passed around, they could hear authentic Mexican music all through the house.  It was awesome and that’s how we love to treat our clients!

Take a look at the iPhone movie of them enjoying the album with family and friends if you don’t believe me!  Still don’t?  Well… ok maybe I exaggerated.   It was their annual party and we got invited….but dang-it we “could have” done something like that :)  Enjoy!

Nothing quite beats and awesome Mariachi Band!

We would like you to meet the beautiful Emilie.  She attend Central Catholic High School in Oregon and is a star softball player.  We have known her, and her twin-sister Annie for quite a few years and love their family.  Emily is such an athlete she plans on heading out to Nebraska to play college ball.  During this shoot it was a bit different for us because we photographed not only her, but Annie as well.

After hitting a few of our favorite “grungy” areas of town, the girls wanted to have something with the words Oregon in it.  As luck would have it, Tonya had seen the perfect spot.  A skate park under a bridge that had the words Oregon pained all over it.  So, of course we packed up our gear and headed over there.  The lighting was pretty poor so I took some off-camera speedlites with me and a beauty dish to control the light a bit.

I know you’re asking yourselves if the Portland skateboarders were going to stop shredding while we walked in the middle and started shooting right?  Yea right!  As we shot then skated in between us, were flying by the girls, and having so much of a kick that I ended up grabbing some shots of them as well.

Below are some of the images from that day placed in one of the custom albums we design and offer our clients.  We hope you like it.

As a challenge, if they get 50 Facebook “LIKES” here, and on each of their galleries above, we will send each girl a special gift for Christmas!!!  Show em’ some love!!!
